Delete your NANb Chat account and data
Last updated: June 27, 2026
This page explains how to delete your NANb Chat account and what happens to your data when you do. (App package / bundle id: us.nanb.chat.)
Delete your account from inside the app (recommended)
- Open NANb Chat.
- Go to Settings.
- Open Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion takes effect immediately.
Can’t access the app?
If you’ve lost access to your devices and still want your account deleted, email contact@nanb.us and include the username you want removed. We will process the deletion for that account.
What gets deleted
- All of your linked devices are revoked and can no longer sign in.
- Your server-side account data is purged, including your device public keys, any push notification token, and any undelivered encrypted messages still queued for you.
- Message history stored locally on your device is removed when you delete the app’s data or uninstall the app. Because NANb Chat is end-to-end encrypted, your conversations live on your devices, not on our servers — we never had the keys to read them.
What is kept, and for how long
- Your username is reserved for 30 days after deletion before it can be reused, to prevent immediate impersonation. After 30 days the username is released.
- We do not retain the content of your messages — by design, we never had access to it.
